& I m going back home

Yet again, we had a field trip, it was nothing special, yet again it was informative.

The morning was cold and dull, Watched an episode of Fringe seems to make the morning brighter and less gloomy, perhaps it is the wind, it could be the cold. Whatever the reason, the morning seems to be rather dull.

The field trip followed, it was in the afternoon. The wind blows, could the day get any colder. The layers that I wore seems to be useless. The bus ride seems short yet dangerous, the constant beeping of the horn seems irritating, perhaps it is the bus driver style, but yet again, he has got sick skill, Alonso would be proud. As we arrive the wind was the first to greet me,what a kind gesture. We proceeded to a Condominium, it appears that we took a flight back to Singapore, the layout is the same, except it is a little bigger, the land space is larger. The construction perhaps differs from Singapore's construction methods, for example, the methods both countries used for building the foundation our method is perhaps yesterday to China, but it is very real to Singapore. As we moved on with the exhibition, we were treated to view a Show flat, it is rather big, the ceilings were high and yes it allow residents to feel less claustrophobic. The house is rather okay, the kitchen is rather small. I will not say it is my dream home. Oh my dream home, I shall work towards it.

Soon we headed back, lunch opposite school, yes i Swear i will never eat from that store anymore, I can feel the oil in my throat, the stench of knowing that the food is horrible and fatal simple spells nothing but prevention. The food seems to be the killer of life itself, the food simply blew a hole in my love for unhealthy food. I headed back with much pain in my stomach, sleep seems rewarding, the 2 hours in dreamland seems to be what I need to forget the food that entered into my digestive system. Dinner soon came as soon as I left my dreams in the bedroom. Dinner at houcalier was great, the Boston Pork Chop is magnificent, the tenderness of the meat speaks a secret as you chew piece by piece the aroma of the sauce simply makes even the strongest man weak on his knees.

As the feast ended, we were treated to a spectacle of Oscar worthy performance. A collaboration between the 2 blocks, it was a rather clean April Fool's Joke, the jokes were rather real and at times I believe that the girls were really fighting. But yet again in the tradition of April Fools, a thumbs up. I would rate the prank Probably one of my top 10s. The first is still Joshua's, Dude, I will never forget it.

What followed was a series of Rum, shots and shots, too bad, the Alcohol was gone fast. Perhaps my wish to get wasted in China seems far fetch.

Anyway here are some photos, enjoy

The Condo, in China, similar to Singapore. This building incorporate Green Technology to help construct the walls of the building.

The Balcony seems super cool here. Extremely Modern and very Tanjong Pagar Le Icon

A roof garden within the ground of the estate.

The view from the balcony of the show flat.

A cloudless and windy day, wait everyday seems to be like that.

Anyway, it is time to end the day, the day of fun and jokes, to my mates here in Wuhan, Happy April Fools day. And to Jian Wen and Kuan, hapy birthday guys, all the best. Lets never postpone Joy

Being here makes all the differences

Had a Field trip today, the 20 of us went to this Taoist temple, Chang Chun Guan, the temple grounds resides in the city limits of Wuchang.

The craving of the temple speaks for itself, the rich heritage of upholding the Taoist Ideology is spelled all over the temple. The complicated art work craved in the doors and the bulding itself simple gives life to the building. Step by step I was amaze by what the temple offered, the perfect morning sun beams proudly on the wall, with the generosity time it made the temple unique and mysterious to awe upon. I could not imagine how beautiful Wudang Shan is going to be when make my way there on Sunday. EXCITED EXCITED. Next we proceeded to the Wuchang Uprising memorial called the Red Chamber. At the gate of the temple stood Mr Sun Yat Sen's Statue, Proud and Tall he gaze upon China as She makes her way in the world of hope and optimisim. The oxygen of confidence the revolutionaries gave to allow the people to have a better life and absolute freedom, most of these revoluntionaries paid dearly for what they fought for and believe in, in the hope that China could be strong and free. Perhaps this was one of the best field trip I have been on. The architecture of the building simple spelled out nothing but brilliance, the Italian architecture of the complex shouts out one thing, CHANGE and standing up to one's belief. I was simple mesmerize by it all.

The field trip ended shortly and it was time for lunch, had the usual. An afternoon nap seems rewarding after an early morning of fun. Snooze from 2 to 6 seems like I m in heaven, No disturbance, it was just me and my dreams. We must all exit from dream land one way or another. We headed to Houcalier for dinner, it was like Jack's Place, but in China. The beef was good, tender and cook to my expectations. But the medium rare which I requested for was more of a Medium Well. It was cheap though less than 10 sing for a Steak Meal, yes it was cheap. Really really cheap. The night was super cold and windy, no time to hang around, it was time to go back. No much was done, except for this gathering at CR's place, Ghost story time, I shall be scared shitless as my place is haunted as well, but well, there are 3 of us living in the room, perhaps its not so bad, 2 weeks more and off to Singapore, I m sure gonna miss Wuhan, Geraldina was right, Wuhan simple spelled out nothing but fun and I really enjoyed every moment of it.

Anyway here are some Photos taken today, do check it out.

Chang Chun Temple, this temple in particular is under construction, the interior, or should i say the entire temple is craved out by hand. I had a 1st hand look, as 2 artist were at work inside the temple.

The temple is filled with this sort of beautiful yellow flowers, but I have forgotten the name. The temple is also filled with many special and beautiful plants and flowers.

The bamboo garden which resides within the temple grounds, "VERY Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon"

This lantern is perhaps it is older than me, it is the traditional kind used in the Yuan Dynasty.

A peach blossom tree growing within the temple grounds, The traveling Geographers.

One of random shots photograph outside the Red Chamber

The Red Chamber, The revolutionaries that walk the halls, the oxygen of confidence they gave to breathe life to China

One of the wing of the Red Chamber, simple yet beautiful.

Voices in time, echoing in the walls. The tears shed, the blood spilled, the voices that would change China forever.

Friendship that flows from the heart cannot be frozen by adversity, as the water that flows from spring cannot congeal in winter.

The day was filled with ups and only ups, perhaps one of my best days here in Wuhan, its time end the day, Goodnight and Lets Never Ever Postpone Joy. Cheers

Abstract Error

I can feel the pain of those Monday blues, waking up seem so hard, sleeping in and skipping class kept racing through my mind. Just wake up, just wake up the brain signalled. Project Management Lecture today, wah finally the 24 pages of chapter 9 is completed, and yes I don't really understand it.

Went jalan jalan at the usual hang out for WIT students, nothing much was done there except for the jalan jalan.

Headed back and prepared ourselves for HanKou, JW, TECK and myself went on the expedition. Enter into Christine the CAB, it was as crazy as Christine the car in Stephan Kings Novel, an hour journey to HanKou we witness 2 accidents, is it serious? Yes it is super serious. Jams Jams Jams made the journey painfully long. Soon we arrive, met up with Teck Cheong's parents for dinner. The food was okay, did not really eat much.

After dinner the 3 of us went for a walk, Seriously the streets of HanKou is magically very awesome, the neon lights reminded of my time in ShangHai. How I missed it. Not much shopping was done as it was getting late. The hype of the day was the Egg Tarts, oh the wonderful eggtart. We bought a total of 7 boxes of 5, and yes it is super worth it, The feeling when chewing on the pastry simple spells out I WANT MORE MORE MORE.

Soon it was time to say goodbye to HanKou, i really want to go back there again!!! Shockingly the Cab ride was safe, so safe, one of the safest I have taken. Drive drive drive, the lights and sounds of Wuhan cityscape was just beautiful, The Yellowcrane Tower stood above all. As we left the cab, I knew it was the end of another day, 2 more weeks and I m coming home, I m sure gonna miss Wuhan. The usual Whohar back home and now its time to sleep, site visit tomorrow at 830, thank god its only half a day, HanKou-ing tomorrow maybe????

Anyway here are some Photos,

This is the only time where the fearless drivers of China follow the traffic rule. 50km/hr only, if not SNAP SNAP

HanKou at night, the picture quality in the photograph is quite bad.

what a night, what a joy to forget those monday blues.

Its time to watch an episode of Fringe, yes it is super nice.

Oysters, Beef-Balls, Chou Tofu and Teppanyaki

An exciting day of yumming and chowing, the bro-tatstic 6 together with the FMB and REB girls jumped to SiMenKou, it was shopping for them and eating for us guys. Cab ride was branded typical China driving, too fast, fiercely reckless and painfully fearless.

With all that speed and power, we soon arrive, it was straight to Oysters heaven, it was shiok can. The garlic simple sings a concert as it lingers on the meat, the hallaulah chorus could be heard as the taste and aroma of the oyster floats aimlessly down to the tummy. Yes it is that shiok. Safe? I hope so. & It was the usual food, the Hong Kong urinating Beef Ball and Chou Tofu were awesome, The lamb, and the pastry were never enough the 1st time. The planned few hours of Yumcha-ing soon ended, went jalan jalan walking walking. End to end fake guy clothes were sold, I was dammm bumped as I was planning to purchase some clothes from some upcoming China designers but but but NO. When all hopes were loss, There is this one stall, but the designs that I wanted only come in long-sleeve, well thats life.

Headed to the teppanyaki restaurant near our university, makan makan makan, the food was awesome, but the only shit that really nearly made the evening sour was this one guy, smoking away infront of us, quite considerate! But It was nice being there, why? The Boss is a Singaporean, yes a Singaporean, Chit chatted with her for a while. It was nice seeing another Singaporean there, all the best to her.

Took a van back, quite worth it I would say.

Anyways here are some photos,

SiMenKou, food food food

just a random street

Thats basically it, time to sleep, Project Management Lecture 1st thing tomorrow. Results as well. Excited excited. Night all and remember to Never Postpone Joy

ฉันรักจีน

All that morning hoo har is just too boring, I shall not blog about that, and oh ya, Peanut Butter and jam for breakfast is shiok, childhood memories. . .. . . . .

It was Thai high-ness here in my apartment, all the Thai language seem to be flowing out of my roomies and my mouth, either broken or gibberish. I shall learn that language after I mastered German. Oh German, Germany before my national services, it is off to Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin. Its a plan, its a Eurotrip, I m going to Germany.

Went to this place, it was full of life, streets of shops selling nothing I like, food was not tempting as I don't feel the hungry-ness anymore, maybe I m just homesick, or could it be the post-headache sickness. About the headache, it was gone as soon as I left the house. Please be flush down the toilet together with all the crap that flows along. The trip to Yamao shopping street was a scary one, the journey of turns and BEEP BEEP BEEP, made it one hellish road trip to be on. When we arrive IT WAS Walk walk walk, aimlessly we walk through the coldness of the street, entering into random shops.

Dinner followed, it was terrible. With all that terrible food in my belly, walking it off is what I need, we headed to a bookstore, what a bummer, there are tons books that real nice, I just wish that it were in English. Took some Photographs and headed back spilt into different cabs and zoom, took the dangerous joruney with Carmen, thankfully the driver was quite safe, first time first time.

Remedy to a problematic headache, GO OUT.

Anyway here are some photos

The streets of Wuhan, Dangerous and reckless. Cars that flow like there is no tomorrow.

Is it safe, Driving in China? I shall Try it one of these days. Not now, but soon very soon.

Yumcha session at Simenkou tomorrow.Lets never Never postpone JOY, Cheers

Every head has its own headache, now its the neck

This time its the left side, The dreadful headache, oh please go away. The left side of my brain is simple drowning from all that pain, it simply just will not go away.

My pass to dream land ended quickly as it was time to enter reality, a few more hours would have been kind.

The rain simply does nothing to help the day, the wind simple blows in nothing but "wear more when going out" It is time for lesson, I was in no mood to be out, but Mrs Edith lesson has always been interesting, it was motivation for a lazy potato. The lesson was fun, full of debate and argument, the battle of the sexes rages from corner to corner of the classroom. What really caught my attention was the ethnic groups that the lecture offered, I shall travel to Xinjiang and Tibet, the food, the altitude and the culture mentally photograph, what a plan to look forward to.

nothing special followed, except for dinner at this western restaurant. The head still burns, now its the neck. I shall end here, time to have some rest. Night all, WEEKEND follows

Life's a long headache in a noisy street

whamp, woke up with a headache, the burn and tension chimes around the core of my thoughts. Walking seems to be painful as each step i take is another shot to the brain. Steps are taken slowly as i proceed on with life, never knowing when will this pain ever go away. Days have past, weeks have fade, the test approaches in just a few hours, will all that studying and days of mugging help? The headache and the fear of an incoming examination simply spells out I M IN TROUBLE.

The hour approaches, as I entered the exam venue, i just can't help but wonder, why is everyone so excited about the test. Oh wait, they do not have a bad migraine to shoulder over. The script is given, as the paper lands on the glass desk, I wasted no time to look through the paper, I could answer most of them! The poetic hour passed, time to forget about the test, I just pray that I could get what I aimed for.

Headed back and wasted no time, In search for some strong aspirin to curb the nail in my head, efforts were futile. So no choice, have to up my dosage on my regular aspirin. After an hour, I was heavily sedated, took a nap, dreams were weird. Could not really remember it very well.

Met up with the rest and went over to this Singaporean restaurant to makan, food was okay, perhaps it was the sedative that makes food tasteless and blend. Thank goodness the weather was not cold. Headed back soon after our routine grocery shopping.

The sedative starts to wear out, the nail has been removed, I feel much better now. Its time to have some rest. In sickness and in Health, i shall never postpone joy, cheers

To feed on culture and to feel culture breathing down your neck. I can feel the warmth air blowing

It has been quite hectic this couple of days, exams, fooling around and sightseeing, so ya have not been able to blog.

What happen this past few days. One of our Wuhan Travel Mates had her 18th birthday, happy birthday Xiu Jin

Makan session at Golden Hans, German Beer and Meat, what more can one ask for. Beef, Chicken, Mutton and Pork. The buffet suck, the broth suck, but the meat is good it is very good. When I was there I found a Restaurant selling Singapore FOOD, what what and what. Guess what that place is called Orchard. What more can a Singaporean living in China ask for.

That basically sums up my missed blogged session, as for today it was cultural lesson, A TRIP to the Hubei's History Museum, and yes it is super nice, I seriously love the Revolutionary Section, a section for all the heroes of during the 1911 period, dammm inspired when I went to that area, I can feel my revolutionary blood boiling, my calling and my destiny awaits. ha h ah ha hahha

The Museum was actually rather nice, the bulding itself is dammm beautiful, it is a typical Hubei styled architecture, amazing, and yes now i know where the JAPS can their all so beautiful buildings from. When we arrive at the Museum, we were treated to watch an amzing traditional Hubei Symphony orchestra perform, it was quite amazing hearing them perform traditional Hubei music which was meant for banquets and for the royal Chu people, and yes we were treated to that, what an amazing feeling, thank you Mdm Edith. On their final piece the band performed Beethoven's 9th symphony, and yes incorporating their style of music, they totally own it. East meets west, that has always been something I have always love to experience and feel. The conformity of each side of the world, producing music, food and sharing of culture is simply beautiful to not experience.

Soon it was time to head back, had a simple dinner and in a flash I was back, time to study and yes its time to study. & I m dammm Happy, I got the module Water Demand Mangement and yes I m super happy.

So ya here are some photos

At golden Hans, the company the beer the meat, it is just too awesome, Oktober Fest here I come.

My roomies and myself, Kuna Racer, yours truly and Teck. The Face the Lips and the diction. Night after Night the Jokes just got wilder.

Year 2 Civil And Environmental Engineers, Are you ready to build a better World?

The inside of the museum, Very Thomas Crown Affair.

This is the museum, as you can see the building is unlike those that are in Beijing, no end tails, the reason being for all that jazz is that there is a higher rainfall count in Hubei compared to the other states.

it's time to study, cheers and always remember to live your life with this 3 simple words, "Don't Postpone Joy". Remember remember

The Search goes on

It was an early day of fun and excitement awaiting to unfold and conquer. Boarded the tour bus, and headed to gaze blindly upon the beautiful sight of the blooming Cherry Blossoms. The garden is located at the "Ivy League" of China's University Circle. A sea of people flooded through the Gates of Wuhan University.

The change of season is always the most beautiful situation a photographer can photograph. The blooming of the Cherry Blossom is one of them. With the backdrop of an ancient building, the cherry blossom simply compliment to the architecture of the place. Yes, It looks like Japan, here in Wuhan. Not as beautiful, but a distant relative.

Once again the search continues for the Smelliest Tofu. We came to this famous street that sells nothing but food food food and more food. A wide array of yum yum awaits to be called in to the Tummy Platoon. Store by store JW, KF and I tasted and experimented, the Oyster, scallop and the Bamboo shellfish was the sex, the smell intensify your nose as it penetrates to drug your senses, the taste of the garlic lingers and transform your taste bud into and array of dancing clowns, all cheered up and ready to have more. One of the highlights of the day was trying out the smelly tofu along the streets. There is this one street that sells the tofu that is eaten by Chairman Mao, The Smelliest in the world, that is what the store signboard smelled out but in chinese lar. They put their name to the test, and yes they failed, it was not at all smelly, tasted like some ordinary tofu that is just very crispy. Another store I tried was Named Stench that last a thousand years. Yes they failed my test, It is just crispy, when all hopes were loss, I have found a store that is just the best I have tasted so far in China, it was quite smelly, the taste is just right. Yes they passed my test. The feeling of munching on something so fresh and smelly, it conquers your senses. The crowd shuns away from the smell, against the world the only remedy is eating the tofu, shallowing it down and feeling the satification of eating the food that I have waited and search so hard for.

The feeling of having a full stomach can never be explain, what a feeling. The yumcha came to an end as we headed to the Eastern Lake in Wuhan, this is the biggest lake to reside within a city in China. It still can't be compared to the West Lake to HangZhou, now that is really something amazing, But the eastern lake does it part. Not much was done, one of the highlights and a waste of money was hiring a battery powered boat to dirft across the lake and ya enjoy the lake. It was really a waste of time, yet again it was a fun and wet experience to get myself into. Some of them got wet and I mean really wet. What really bumped me was not continuing to stroll along the lake, got some feedback from Mr Wee that further up there is some really really beautiful sites to look at. Yet again. . .lesson learnt, Consider first.

Soon it was time for dinner, had tepanyaki, it was heaven, finally had a dinner that does not consist of Fried Rice or Fried Noodle in it. It was quite worth it, a total of like 6 to 8 Sing was spent eating this very yummy and pleasing dinner.

This concludes my day of food and sight seeing, to end it all, here are some photos,

food food food food food, I m really and seriously dammmm hungry now, I shall feast on Cup noodles if the tell-tale signs of hunger surfaced.

Wait am I dead, is this heaven. Yes it really really very nice there.

Its FAKE ITS FAKE, just kidding. It is simple to beautiful to be a fake, the amazing wonders mother nature creates as she bends upon the fierce creativity of working on Earth as her canvas.

The world's smelliest, not really, it tasted normal. This is the store that Chairman Mao once ate.

The Eastern Lake of China.

That sums up my eventful and all so yummy day. With our tummy full of hope and food, lets begin to cheers to the God of friendship and promise to never postpone joy.

Cheers

Dear Prudence, open up your eyes, Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies

IS day today, Economics of China, lots of theory, really dammm different from Microeconomics, heng ar no calculation and all that. Lesson was okay, a little dry at first but towards the end it begin to juice up. Lesson today really made sense though, fashion attitude of the China people really caught my attention. And Yes, i shall plan a backpacking trip around China, I shall start at Hefei and travel north.

Lesson soon ended, makan time, as usual ate alot of snacks as We walk and explored. One of the food i ate was like super oily and has got a prawny taste to it. Weird. Soon we headed to this DVD shop and the sales lady is really very pretty. Abort Mission, my heart has been stolen. Ha h haha hah ha ha, she is really very pretty. Some of them bought some DVD and some computer accessories. We headed back early, as free as ever, i browse through some old Photographs taken during the course of this program. Uploaded some of them. Soon it was time for revision, revise for 2 hours, till 4 plus and I fell asleep for like 15 mins, and continued for another 1 hour, before i work on a futile effort to solve the Rubik's cube, hopeless seh. Gave up after an hour of trying. Got a call from the FMB girls for dinner, we travelled opposite to makan, as usual had fried rice. Sian seh. Chit chatted and then we headed back home.

I Read an article on the Austrian Incest Trial of Josef Fritzl, please give him what he deserve, he is seriously dammm sick, lock him up and throw away the keys. But thank goodness he showed some remorse for what he has done. So ya not really a terrible monster.

The Ecstasy of watching an awesome movie is simply just too good to be true, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE, watch it, dammm nice.

Not much was done today, revision revison and more revision should follow, exam results in a few hours and counting. Whatever the results, lets never postpone joy, cheers

With all that stressful jazz that surface this week, what should one do. The remedy perhaps is playing soccer, Kuna bought a yellow Adidas soccer ball and yes, played soccer this afternoon. And it was fun fun fun. With all that unhealthy food, exercise is very important. Guys lets do that soon again. Perhaps we can play with 2 of the China chaps we met today as well, they are really quite good. When the final goal final goal and final goal was over. Makan time, once again we were too lazy to walk to the street opposite WIT to makan, we then chow at the fastfood near our hostel. Chow Chow Chow, i should seriously stop using this word, sounds like a DOG breed(Chow Chow). HMMMMMMM lets makan dog meat during this trip. But ya makan was awesome, fastfood after soccer, cloud nine baby.

That basically concludes my very eventful day today, readers always remember that the remedy for a stressful week is to play a round of soccer with your mates and score goals. Yes it cures.
